AML
Question: I would like to know if there is any experimental procedures or new procedures for patient with AML. Any information would be helpful. I have a friend going for a bone marrow transplant. He is in the critical stage of AML.

Answer: In patients younger than thirty years bone marrow transplantation is the treatment of choice after obtaining a first complete remission. There are no new procedures for patients with AML at present.
