Answer: Anthrax vaccine is made from inactivated bacteria. It is about 90% effective and has no serious side effects.

Question:Who makes the vaccine for anthrax and is it available for purchase?

Answer: Anthrax is caused by the organism Bacillus anthracis. It is found mainly in animals and consequently, animal workers and veterarnarians are prone to exposure. Work is currently ongoing to improve the anthrax vaccine since it has certain technical limitations.
