Aspartame
Question: I have been diagnosed with, as yet, a mysterious muscle disease. Doctors are now looking for papers and information regarding the side affects of the food additive aspartame. Can you help? I have reached a desperate point and would appreciate any help you may have or where I could go.

Answer: I'd like to help but you are out of my league. In general, Aspartame has minimal problems. However, there is always a first time or individual reactions.

Aspartame and health
Question: Does drinking a lot of soft-drink that is sweetened with Aspartame put your health at risk?

Answer: Short term there doesn't appear to be any major problems. Long term studies are in progress following people who take significant amounts of aspartame. There are theoretical risks to vision and the eye. So far, these have not been seen in current studies.
