Calan
Question: I have a patient on Calan who is experiencing heavy
vaginal bleeding. She is also on Tenormin. The PDR
notes that Calan can cause vaginal spotting, but have there been a subset of women who are more effected i.e. heavier flow?
Answer: I haven’t seen this as a problem with my women on calcium channel blockers, although most are post menopausal. I would ask the scientific department of the manufacturer (found in the front section of the PDR.).
