Childbirth
Question: What is the risk to the fetus when an epidural or spinal regional anesthesia is used during delivery?

Answer: Epidural and spinal anesthesia are very popular methods of analgesia during delivery. There appears to be minimal risk associated with this form of analgesia. This has been researched in many studies and appears to be generally safe when administered by a competent anaesthesiologist.
