Darvocet-N 100 [posted 8/13/98]
Question: If I am taking Darvocet-N 100, which has been prescribed by my physician for a broken elbow and I am drug tested at work, would it show up as an Opiate Metabolite? If not, what would it show up as?

Answer: Usually tests as positive depending on the specificity of the test.

Side Effects
Question: Would you please tell me any information on Darvocet and the effects of its long term use?

Answer: There is no obvious problem except that some patients will develop renal toxicity due to the acetoaminophen part of Darvocet. You could contact the company and request any specific information Lilly 800-545-5979.

Type of Relief
Question: What kind of relief does Darvocett 100 give?

Answer: This is a combination of propoxyphene and tylenol and gives pretty good pain relief for mild to moderate pain. It will produce constipation and should be limited to 10 a day.
