Adolescent Dianabol Use [posted 7/22/98]
Question: I am a 40 year old male who as a child (roughly age 9-14) took oral dianabol as prescribed by my family doctor. I don't know in what doses, though I am hoping to find my childhood medical records. I am concerned about long term side effects and have been doing some research on the internet. I have been experiencing increasing joint pain and associated back problems and would appreciate any information on possible treatments or any resources that you might recommend. I would be willing to participate in a research study if there is such a thing and a need for participants.

Answer: I'd contact the NIH. I'm not aware of any research protocols, but they have the complete list (at least the ones they fund).
