Dyazide [posted 1/12/99]
Question: I am looking for any information on the drug Dyazide.
Answer: Dyazide is a diuretic combining triamterene (a potassium sparing diuretic) and hydrochlorothiazide ( a potassium losing diuretic). It is generally used in hypertension to decrease the potassium loss seen with hydrochlorothiazide alone. However, the main risk is still electrolyte abnormality. I'm not sure exactly what you need for.
