Any Ideas How to Reduce or Get Rid of Keloids
Question:I have a 10CM wide keloid scar on my chest from heart surgery 18 months ago. I have tried various creams, cortizone injections, applications of silicon sheet, etc, with little benefit. Any idea's? Also, I heard, third-hand, of injection with new drug to reduce collagen production in scar, but I can not find any info. Thank you for any help.

Answer: Off hand, haven't heard of this, check with a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. Keloids are usually very difficult to improve/fix.

Keloids
Question: I am looking for information about treatment of keloids. I have taken steroids and homeopathic treatment just to find that it is still growing.

Answer: Keloids are difficult to treat. Currently, if local steroid injection does not help there is little that can be done. Some physicians are experimenting with topical drugs like methotrexate, but this is very experimental.
