Ketorolac
Question:Is their a greater incidence of wound site bleeding with ketorolac than with narcotics?

Answer: Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory which is usually used topically in the eye to reduce itching due to seasonal allergies. There is a small amount of absorption of this drug into the body. Consequently, there is a potential for increased bleeding. To date, this has only been reported following surgery and not due to usual application of the drug. This drug should be used cautiously or not at all in individuals who are sensitive or allergic to aspirin. I am not aware of narcotics causing increased wound bleeding.
