Question: What is retoperitoneal fibrosis?

Answer: Retroperitoneal Fibrosis is a condition where the organs behind the abdomen(kidneys, etc.) begin to fibrose. This can lead to renal failure and different organ dysfunction. The cause is not known and it is a fairly rare problem. There have been drugs which have been implicated in the condition. But, they are not currently on the market.
