Roxicodone or Percocet? [posted 10/8/98]
Question: For about six months, I was taking Percocet on a daily basis for the chronic abdominal pain that I suffer as a result of 3 colon resection surgeries. My doctor has closed his practice, and I just began treatment at a local pain management clinic. The new doctor has begun treating me with Roxicodone (5 mg.) (about 1 every 4 hours) instead of the Percocet. What is your opinion on what I believe is a "new" drug, called Roxicodone?

Answer: More expensive, but, similar in effect.
