Vermox fpr Pinworms
Question: Will vermox take away the itching occuring at night? What does this drug to get rid of these pin worms? Is my daughter going to get reinfested again whil on this Vermox. How long until it takes effect?

Answer: The itching should go away in a couple of days if the pin worms are eradicated. This usually takes a couple of days. She will get reinfected only if reexposed to her original source. Has this been identified?

Vermox
Question: I would like any information you can give me about Vermox with regards to toxicity, adverse effects, etc. I know it is used to treat pinworm. Is it OK for children to use?

Answer: Vermox (mebendazole) is a drug directed at pinworm, roundworms, hookworms, and helminth strains of parasitic words. Common side effects include nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. This drug has not been used extensively in children under two years old. Older children should have no problems with it.
