Zonalon
Question: I have recently been put on a lotion for a rash I have, the name is Zonalon lotion, or something to that effect. I would like to know the side effects with this medication.

Answer: Zonalon , which I think is what you are referring to is cream or lotion of Doxepin. Doxepin in systemic doses is used for treatment of depression. It is used topically for itching and has few side effects, except in large doses (to the skin) can produce drowsiness.
