Blackouts
Question: I have a nephew (teen-ager) who has blacked out. It seems to be something with males and getting out of bed fast and lowering of blood pressure. Can you guide us to where we can read up on this?

Answer: What you are describing is postural hypotension. A good evaluation can be had with Harrisonís textbook of Medicine (Harrisonís Principles of Internal Medicine - Isselbacher education) available in any medical and most general libraries.
