Body Odor Problems & Possible Solutions
Question: I have trouble with body odour. Sometimes my friends say I have body odour. I can't use ordinary soap which is alkalile. I must use an acidic soap. If I use alkalile soap, I will have bad body odour and my friends can smell it from far away. Even I do use the acidic soap, my friends can still smell my body odour too, although I never smell the body odour myself. a search of the internet leads me to believe my problem may be caused colonic bacteria found in the urine and/or the presence of Brevibacterium epidermidis. Please suggest which drugs that I should take to cure the bad body odour and i would like you to recommend some effective soap for use. Thank you.

Answer: Antibacterial soaps such as Dial are probably the best bet. Phisohex scrub is also effective, but, I would be hesitant to use it over your entire body. Ensure that a physician has checked your blood chemistries to ensure that you don't have an underlying problem such as diabetes or liver disease.

Side Effects
Question: I have a friend who takes Linthium and Respirdal for bipolar disorder. This person has a horribly strong body odor almost daily and it is effecting his work (customers don't want him around). I have approached the subject and he says he is unaware and cannot tell it a problem. He does sweat but does not seem to be aware of the odor.

Answer: Probably the medications-have they had liver functions recently?
