Burn Injury [posted 7/27/98]
Question: I would like to know if Contractubex by MERZ Germany is available in US, and if it is, how much does it cost? Who are the stockists in and around Indianapolis? What are the known benefits and side effects? What are some commonly used medications to treat neck contracture in burn injury patients? A list of physicians in and around Indianapolis who can handle contracture problem after burn injury in neck.

Answer: As with many products, the brand name is different in Europe than the US. I am not sure what this is. Do you have a generic name? As to burn contractures in Indianapolis, I am not from that area. I would contact the University of Indiana Medical School located in Indianapolis. Their surgery department could provide you the names of burn surgeons in Indianapolis. Usually, the burn surgeons are all associated with medical schools due to the need to be at a trauma center.
