Question: I have excessive perspiration and would like to know if it could be related to food or medication. It is hot here but I can be drenched within a minute or two.

Answer: No, occasionally an overactive thyroid and that is work checking. Usually related to body density/weight. Dense patients are required to sweat more per square inch due to a higher need to dissipate more energy per square inch of body skin(the volume rises as a function of a cube, the surface as the volume of a square).
