Question: I’m a 6th grade student doing a report on hypnosis. How did hypnosis start? How much do scientists know about it ? Does hypnosis have any side effects?
Answer: Hypnosis was invented by a Parisian doctor whose name was Mesmer. Hence, hypnosis is sometimes called mesmerism. Other than that, I can’t help much. We don’t learn about
hypnotism in medical school.
