Question: My doctor prescribed Celexa for pms and it is working quite well. Can this drug cause weight gain, and is this drug for indefinite use, or for a limited time? Are there any neurological problems associated with long term use?
Answer: 20-30% of patients experience weight gain with this class of drug. There is no current time limit to taking the drug and no known long/short term neurological side effects.
