Question: What is the average resting pulse rate for a fifty+ year female, and at what pulse rate should one be while exercising ( ie. treadmill ) ?
Answer: 65-90 would be the usual range. Average is probably in the 70-75 range. As to exercising, the max that one should sustain is 140, depending on your preconditioning. A conditioned athlete can sustain a higher rate, but is tougher to get to.

Question: I am taking: Covera-HS (180 mg), Lanoxin (0.5 mg), Cardura (4 mg),
Glucosamine-HCL (1500 mg), Chondroitin Sulfate (1200 mg), Saw
Palmetto (350 mg) daily. I have reoccurring episodes of pulse
rates of 90-100 a minute. Is there an adverse effect caused
by taking the above mixture?
Answer: You are taking a huge dosage of lanoxin. If you haven’t had your level checked, do it today. This is probably a toxic dosage of lanoxin and the cause of the arrhythmias. I have never treated anyone with 0.5 mg of lanoxin in 20 years.
