Question: I was having trouble sleeping , started on last friday 19th nov, today being thurs, as a result i bought tylenol simply sleep the active ingredient being diphenhydramine HCL, after which i slept for 10 hrs but throught out the day continue to feel dizzy ,have nausea loss of appetite and headache.. seems like a side effect to me but that has not been listed on the pack could you please confirm this and suggest some remedial action, i only took the capsules on two days once(tues) took 2 pills and the second day(wed) took one.i hhave stopped it as of today.

Answer: Diphenhydramine is the generic name for Benadryl. Shouldn’t cause headaches or nausea-doubt this is the medication.
