Question: Is it safe to breastfeed & take Dyazide 25mg/day?
Answer: Direct human studies have not been done. But, animal studies show that it is excreted in nursing animal models and it is recommended to stop nursing if you need to stay on the medication.

Question: I am looking for any information on the drug Dyazide.
Answer: Dyazide is a diuretic combining triamterene (a potassium
sparing diuretic) and hydrochlorothiazide ( a potassium losing diuretic). It is generally
used in hypertension to decrease the potassium loss seen with hydrochlorothiazide alone.
However, the main risk is still electrolyte abnormality. I’m not sure exactly what you
need for.
