Question: What effects does the hormone pregnenolone have on the body? Does a woman with a family history of breast cancer have to worry about taking it?
Answer: Pregnenolone is the first step in steroid synthesis from cholesterol to whatever steroid is to be made. I am not aware of any drug containing pregnenolone and I would just be guessing about possible effects. In general, I doubt much would happen.
