Question: What is protropin used for? I need all the info on it for a class that I’m taking. Thanks

Answer: Protropin is a manufactured growth hormone which is identical to human growth hormone. It is used to supplement human growth and there have been several studies using augmentation in the elderly but research is currently ongoing. You can get the drug insert from a pharmacist or any bookstore or library which carries the Physicians Desk Reference. This will give you more detail, the insert covers a couple of pages and easy to xerox. The company that makes it is Genentech 800-821-8590.
