MAO inhibitors and Romazicon [posted
1/6/99]
Question:What are your feelings about the administration of Romazicon to a patient
taking an MAO inhibitor and Alka Seltzer?
Answer: Romazicon is a benzodiazepine receptor antagonist and is often
used in anesthesia. Offhand there wouldn’t be a severe reaction between the two. As to the
alka-seltzer, would only change absorption.
