Question: My husband was prescibed this for muscle spasms. He had previously taken Soma for 6 years and then tried Baclofen for a few weeks. He had a bad experience with the Baclofen and was switched to this Carbidopa/Levodopa. I have read that this was for Parkinson’s Disease. How would this help my husband’s muscle spasms? So far we have had trouble with hand tremors and confusion. I am afraid he has been give the wrong medication. Could this help his situation at all?

Answer: This is used occasionally for muscle spasm, without too much success. However, the side effects preclude him from taking it.
