Question: For 3 years my fiance has been receiving this 6-shot series of

hyalart. Every six months the cycle is one shot every two weeks.

The process is extreme swelling for 3 days then subsiding and the

following week, fluid is extracted once or twice from the knee.

This last cycle shots 2,3 and 5 caused an extremely elevated fever

vomitting and nausea during the 3 first days.

My fiance is getting this treatment in Germany where he resides

and it seems that the Doctor is of the opinion that if he wants

the treatments, he suffers the consequences. Are there other drug

treatments available that have the same results and/or is it

possible that his body has suddenly developed an allergy to

this drug. Is there anywhere we can find out the exact

chemical content of this drug?

Thank you for you assistance.

Answer: Usually we only do a couple of injections(like 3-4) in the states. This is made by Wyeth Ayerst 800-934-5556, they will have the most up to date technical information.
