Question: I am an adult with chronic nasal congestion I have a constant stuffy nose without using Vancanase. I use one shot daily. I have used it since last May,1999, at the start of allergy season. Is there a health risk involved using it for this or a longer period of time?
Answer: Probably not. There are occasional rare reports of adrenal suppression with nasal steroids, but very, very uncommon. Most mds think there are no systemic effects of nasal steroids.

Question: What are the risk of cataracts with the use of nasal inhalers such as vancanase for a 10 year old using 2 sprays daily?
Answer: Would almost be a reportable problem – very unlikely.
