Question: can the drug half inderal la(to treat anxiety) be taken in conjunction with zantac?
Answer: Beta blockers are ok with zantac. Some patients experience nausea with beta blockers, but this would not interfere with the action of zantac.

Question: My elderly mother has been diagnosed with cirrohisis of the liver probably brought on my previous medications she was taking. Since Ranitidine is metabolized by the liver, will the cirrohisis of the liver inhibit the effectiveness of the Ranitidine? Will the Ranitidine cause any more damage to her liver?
Answer: Probably not, but this would depend a lot on the amount of dysfunction that she has. Decreasing the dosage is usually recommended.
Zantac Syrup
Question: My ten-week old baby was prescribed 0.7 CC Zantac syrup twice a day for a reflux problem. I was interested in finding out if there are any side-effects from this medication and if it’s appropriate for a child this age.
Answer: Zantac (rantidine) is a drug which belongs to the group called H2 Blockers. These are common drugs and have been available since about 1975. They have such minimal side effects that they are available over the counter without a prescription. I know of no specific problem with children. I do know that chronic reflux will cause major problems in his later life if not properly treated.
