Zoloft
Question: I have a friend who is taking 50 mg of Zoloft and her original symptoms are returning. If she increases the dosage to 100 mg, would this relieve these symptoms?
Answer: Zoloft like many antidepressants is dosed in a very individual manner. The drug dosage is increased until side effects appear that are intolerable or the depression achieved adequate treatment. In general, 50 to 100mg will suffice in mild depression-more severe depression will require larger doses. One should always discuss increasing the dose with your physician.
